TRUDY: Voila!
CLOE: Its perfect! She'll love it! What a surprise!
TRUDY: If we can keep her away until we're ready...
CLOE: Salene's watching in case she wakes.
TRUDY: What on earth-!
KC: Look at that!
BRAY: We couldn't find his crutch.
JACK: First I had Cloe breaking my door down at the crack of dawn, waking me up, then I get dragged from my bed-
CLOE: Its all part of the surprise.
JACK: Yeah but to drag me out of bed and get me up here like a baby...
DAL: Found it!
TRUDY: Shhh!
JACK: Great.
DAL: And you thought you could get away by hiding it.
JACK: No I couldn't find it, really! Where did you find it?
DAL: Under your bed.
JACK: Oh you know what, I didn't look there... ooops... Well what- what now?
CLOE: The present.
JACK: But- I'm here- I mean isn't that enough?
TRUDY: Jack we agreed, a present from each person.
JACK: Oh yeah... yeah we did- we did! Right... I'm still working on mine, it's a it's a surprise.
CLOE: No present, no entry, no breakfast.
RYAN: Thanks for the wake up call Cloe.
CLOE: Great. No present, no entry, no breakfast.
ZANDRA: It's from both of us.
KC: Lex, I saved you a seat.
CLOE: Where's Amber? She was already up when I went to wake her.
LEX: Probably off sulking as usual.

TAI-SAN: Remember, we've got to make today special, so when Patsy comes in-
TRUDY: Here she is!
ALL: Happy Birthday! Surprise!
SALENE: Sorry, I couldn't keep her away any longer. She was hungry.
TRUDY: Happy Birthday Patsy.
TAI-SAN: Happy Birthday sweetie.
CLOE: Look at all your presents!
PATSY: I didn't even remember.
CLOE: What games are we going to play?
SALENE: You can choose Patsy.
PATSY: Games!
TAI-SAN: It's your party, we decided there'd be no chores today, just fun.
TRUDY: You get to choose everything today.
ZANDRA: I could do something pretty with your hair if you like?
PATSY: Yes.
TRUDY: Amber?
AMBER: Oh hi, I'm glad your all here, I've drawn up another roaster. Through this place could do with some cleaning and decorating.
CLOE: But its Patsy's birthday. We're going to have a party.
AMBER: Oh... right... happy birthday Pats.
TRUDY: Amber we said we wouldn't work today, remember?
AMBER: Right.
LEX: No, no. You go ahead and spoil the fun. Feel free.
BRAY: Shut it Lex.
TAI-SAN: We agreed, no chores on Patsy's birthday.
AMBER: Right... I'll just put this up...
LEX: There she goes again, off to sulk.
JACK: Wish she would snap out of it! I'm sick of having to tip-toe around just cause Amber's feeling unhappy!
KC: You can tip-toe on crutches?!
JACK: You know what I mean...
LEX: She should have gone off with her crazy juggler.
RYAN: Come on guys! Its party time! What's first? Presents, games or food?
ZANDRA: Patsy's hair.

TRUDY: Are you okay?
AMBER: Yeah.
TRUDY: Are you coming to the party?
AMBER: I'm not in the mood.
TRUDY: Did Sasha give that to you? You really love him, don't you?
AMBER: Loved. I really loved.
TRUDY: You don't think he'll be back?
AMBER: He wont be back.
TRUDY: I'm sorry.
AMBER: I feel like I've got this big empty ball of nothing growing inside of me and its about to burst through my skin.
TRUDY: It get's easier. Come to the party. You chose to stay with us, remember?
AMBER: How can I forget.

Interior - Café - Daytime
LEX: She's lost her tiny marble if she thinks I'm doing extra cleaning.
KC: I can't see Kc anywhere, I wonder why she left me off...
LEX: Ah, she probably plans to throw you out. Too much like trouble.
KC: Do you really think she'd chuck me out?
LEX: Don't worry, I wont let her. Anyway at the rate she's going, she's not going to be boss for much longer.

Interior - Mall Entrance - Daytime
JACK: Look I still think we should be using these batteries to get the outside camera's powered up, not wasting them on some party.
DAL: You only get a birthday once a year Jack.
JACK: You don't get any birthday's if you don't have any security.
DAL: Come on Jack, get in the party spirit!
RYAN: Salene, I'll take those.
SALENE: Thanks.
ZANDRA: Thanks Ryan...
SALENE: Congratulate me.
RYAN: Huh?
SALENE: Ten days and not one... you know...
TRUDY: Patsy you look like a princess.
SALENE: Your hair looks beautiful.
ZANDRA & PATSY: Thanks.
CLOE: Bob! Here boy!
DAL: Hey, I'm underdressed.
CLOE: Is Amber coming to the party?
BRAY: I don't know Cloe, she's got a lot on her mind.
JACK: Hey Pats, here's your birthday present. Hit it! Happy Birthday.
PATSY: Jeez thanks.
CLOE: That doesn't count. Only a real present will do.
PATSY: Well let's play musical chairs...
CLOE: Yeah!

JACK: No! I've done my bit and I've got to work on the surveillance camera's
CLOE: Do the music and we'll forget about the present, deal?

ZANDRA: Not much of a cake.
TRUDY: Well its all I could manage under the circumstances. It will be fine once its iced.
ZANDRA: I noticed Salene's bulimia seems to have gone.
TRUDY: Yeah, she's doing well.
ZANDRA: Now she's got Ryan eating out of her hand.
TRUDY: hum...
ZANDRA: Maybe I should pretend to have bulimia. He just ignores me now.
TRUDY: Zandra! Salene isn't pretending! Its not a game you know!
ZANDRA: Yeah... but it get's guys running after you...
TRUDY: You don't need guys, you've got Lex, how many do you want?! What do you think? I couldn't find any birthday candles...
ZANDRA: What's Salene got that I haven't?
TRUDY: Good huh?
ZANDRA: Irresistible.
TRUDY: What? You or the cake?

CLOE: Hard luck Patsy.
JACK: And the champion is: Jack!
DAL: That's not fair! You cheated!
JACK: Hey! Get in the party spirit Dal!
TRUDY: Time to blow out the candle!
RYAN: Wow! Look Pats!
CLOE: Make a wish Patsy!
TRUDY: But don't tell anyone or it wont come true.
TAI-SAN: Remember good thoughts only Patsy.
CLOE: If you don't blow it out first time, it means you've got a boyfriend.
RYAN: Blow Patsy.
TRUDY: Come on Pats.
[throws candle at wall]
JACK: What's wrong?
SALENE: Patsy?
CLOE: I bet its Paul.
TRUDY: Its okay Patsy, I'm sure he's safe somewhere.
PATSY: It's not that!
TRUDY: What is it then lov?
PATSY: I don't want to get older! I don't- I don't want to die! I don't want you all to die!
TRUDY: No one is dying Patsy. You're not going to die.
PATSY: Don't lie to me, I'm not a baby anymore!

JACK: Hey Dal! Are you okay?
DAL: Yeah.
JACK: You don't look it.
DAL: Just go back to the Party Jack.
JACK: What party? They're all arguing about the virus. What's eating you?
DAL: Just remembering, what it was like. Do you think it could happen to us?
JACK: Look there are adults out there, working on a cure. There has to be.

Scene 09
Interior - Mall Entrance - Daytime
CLOE: Do you want to play another game Patsy?
PATSY: No, I want to go home!
RYAN: yeah...
AMBER: This is getting us nowhere! Look why don't we start again and treat it as a normal day.
ZANDRA: What's normal anymore?
AMBER: I'll get the roaster.
LEX: Might have known, chores.
AMBER: It will keep our minds off things.
SALENE: We're only trying to have a bit of fun.
AMBER: Is this fun? Exactly, so lets stop moaning and get on with some work.
KC: Board of sulking in your room are you? You can mope around but when we get sad, hey! let's do some work!
BRAY: Hey! Tell your little puppet to shut his mouth Lex, before I shut it for him.
LEX: You touch and it will be you that's shut up.
AMBER: Oh look this is stupid! I'm going to get the roaster.
PATSY: It's my birthday party and if I want to be sad I can! We don't have to do stupid work on my birthday! You don't even care!
AMBER: Fine! Do what you like! Have your party, trash the place again for all I care! And you know what Patsy, I don't care! I wish I never had, then maybe I wouldn't be stuck here with a bunch of losers like you! So go ahead, sit moping in this filth I came back to and wait for the virus to get you, because I don't care!

Scene 10
Interior - Mall Entrance - Daytime
TRUDY: It's for later.
KC: I'm hungry now.
LEX: So our self-appointed leader has gone off to sulk again. Nothing new there.
TRUDY: Your compassion is moving Lex.
LEX: Look when you're a leader you have to keep your feelings to yourself! One tiny little upset and she looses it!
KC: And we get it in the neck.
LEX: Exactly.
ZANDRA: Lex is right. She should at least try and put on a happy face. We've all got troubles.
SALENE: Leave her alone.
LEX: For how long? Look I don't think she has the guts for this anymore!
KC: Nope.
RYAN: Come on, we can get through this.
DAL: Kc, I need help.
KC: You can say that again.
DAL: Jack's ready for us to fix the cameras outside the loading bay.
KC: I'm just going to help Jack.
LEX: Okay. How long is Amber going to sulk over Sasha? It's been ages and then typical she chooses Patsy's birthday party to pull herself together and when we complain, wham! She's back to her room to sulk, and for how long this time?

Exterior - Outside the Mall - Daytime
DAL: Hold the ladder steady KC.
KC: I am! I am!
DAL: And yell if you see anyone coming.
KC: Sure, don't mind me, I can do a million things at once.
DAL: Hey!
KC: I cant help it, I'm shaking in my shoes, petrified the Locos might come.
DAL: Quit it KC!
KC: Sorry. What are you doing up there Dal, hurry up!
DAL: So we are scared then?!

Interior - Mall Entrance - Daytime
BRAY: Okay guys, let's get to work.
LEX: Pardon?
BRAY: Well Amber's, we can't just sit around feeling sorry for ourselves. So lets see what goodies she's got cooked up for us.
LEX: Did I miss something? Since when have you been in charge of -
BRAY: It's just in till she's feeling up to it.
TAI-SAN: Is she ever going to? People who don't follow they're own hearts can never truly be happy Bray. We all choose our own destinies, and Amber chose us but we're not her first love, so can she ever really be happy?
LEX: So, its time for a new leader!
BRAY: Look Amber's just going through a rough time.
LEX: Yeah, and making her problems our problems.
TRUDY: She'll be okay!
BRAY: Right! Ryan go get the others and we'll go through this roaster.

DAL: How's it look?
JACK: Like a blizzard.
DAL: Maybe we should check the wiring.
RYAN: You guys, Bray wants you.
JACK: We're busy.

JACK: But I've done my bit, and me and Dal have got to work on the surveillance camera's.

BRAY: Look Amber could have gone with Sasha-!

BRAY: I know. But she choose to stay with us, and just because she choose to stay doesn't mean she can just forget him. Look Amber's always been there for all of you, so why cant you be there for her now?
LEX: You'd love to be there for her, tucked up in bed with her! Well I'm sorry, but stepping into her shoes isn't going to get you there and we're not standing for it!
ZANDRA: Leave it Lex, he's not worth it.
LEX: Get out of here Bray! You are finished! And take your little dream girl with you, cause she's finished as well! The both of you!
BRAY: Give it up Lex. I'm bigger then you, and I'm braver then you, and I'm going nowhere.
ZANDRA: Lex.

CLOE: Bray? Bray what's my chore on the list?

LEX: I've had enough of this! I can't take him anymore! I should have had him, right there and right then.
ZANDRA: Don't let him get to you Lex.
KC: He's lucky you didn't re-arrange his face for him!
LEX: Right!
KC: Do it Lex! Your tougher then him!
ZANDRA: Shut up Kc. Come on Lex. If you let him wined you up then he wins.
LEX: Look get one thing into your head, Bray will never win. And another thing, I don't need you protecting me, okay? Ever!
ZANDRA: Lex-
LEX: Look you worry about your pretty face and let me worry about Bray's. Come on Kc.
RYAN: Hey Zandra have you seen Salene?
ZANDRA: What? You mean she's not hanging on to your every move? That makes a change.
RYAN: Why should you care?
ZANDRA: Cause I thought we were friends.
RYAN: We are, but look I cant talk now. See you later Zandra.

RYAN: Salene! Salene... what's the matter?
SALENE: Go away Ryan.
RYAN: No, I'm looking out for you, remember?
SALENE: Leave me alone.
RYAN: Tell me what's wrong, please. I through you were better?
SALENE: I'm sorry. I was doing so well... I let you down.
RYAN: No. What's brought this on again?
SALENE: All that talk about the virus. I'm so scared.
RYAN: Shhh.
SALENE: I wish it would come. I want to get it and end this mess.
RYAN: No! No you don't!
SALENE: I do!
RYAN: Come on, let's get out of here. The little ones are asking for you.

AMBER: Thanks for the drink.
TRUDY: Feeling any better?
AMBER: Hits the spot.
TRUDY: Tai-San's going to bring you some herbs, help you sleep tonight.
AMBER: I certainly wont be working on anything for that lot. I gave up everything for them.
TRUDY: They'll be there for you after today Amber, you'll see.

Scene 18
Interior - Café - Nighttime
PATSY: Bray, I drew you and Amber a picture, it's for the Café. For Amber's decorations.
BRAY: Thanks Pats.
PATSY: Its of my mommy and daddy and our house, and Bob, and Paul.
BRAY: It's lovely.
PATSY: Do you know what my birthday wish was? I wished that my mommy and daddy would come back and tell us what to do. It will come true, you'll see.
BRAY: Well, I think you should go to bed.
PATSY: But I'm not tired.
BRAY: But look Bob is and he needs a good nights sleep.
PATSY: Okay.
